A tip : getting plane seats

| | Comments (2)

Which one are you?
Left side aisle seater? Window seater?
Or on the right side?

Back of the plane or the middle?

Personally for me, if I were to travel to a country for a first time, I will go for the window seat. Photos of course...

The rest of the times I will go for the aisle seat. I know I'll be drinking a lot of water to compensate the cost of the ticket so I will visit the loo several times throughout the flight. Once, I had to get through a grumpy sleeping old man who was at the aisle seat. That traumatized me for good.

Today I will share with you what I've read ...

Think again

Here's an extract from the latest issue of Newsweek magazine.

" Japan still retains its lead in Engineering. A showroom at Panasonic's headquarters displayed a heated, multifunction toilet seat that conserves energy (Wouldn't leaving the seat cold conserve even more?) "

. . . . .

#1 : If you think the oriental way, you're saving toilet paper.
- cutting down trees, getting the machines to recycle old paper for new releases CO2 through its process.

#2 : If you're thinking the western way, you're saving electricity
- the use of electrical appliances itself also emits CO2

Which one are you?

Gearing up after Osaka

| | Comments (5)

I've just returned from the education fair at Osaka and brought home plenty of university prospectuses.

Time is drawing closer... It's not gonna be easy. I'll be competing with the bird brained Mainlanders and Vietnamese for a scholarship, and then competing with the Japanese students for a place in Graduate School.

but first... my thesis... even before that... my exams!!

Not easy.. but till today, determination has never stopped me from getting what I want. Don't wish me luck. Please pray for me instead. haha....

Anyway, some photos from my trip to and from Osaka.... no photos of my friends from Pre-U cos i didn't use my camera for that...

I have nothing to write about because I've been very lifeless these days because I have plenty to do these days, as well as the few weeks to come.

I'm not going to talk about things that happened.
Instead I'm going to do a book review.

BANKCRUPT!
And this is how I spent my first month's scholarship stipend...

1. Ferry ticket to Osaka to attend the education fair.
2. A multi purpose machine. I don't know how to translate ... I just call it multi task machine.

I'm not gonna mention the name of the show or else I'll get arrested :P

New phone

While everyone else is talking about the new iPhone, I shall share with you the phone I want. I was never interested in iphone anyway.... ngahaha

My cellphone company sent me a letter of gratitude (I've used AU kddi for the 3rd year now) and they're letting me upgrade the model of my phone without service charge, and a waive of ¥17010 (Rm600) off the cost of the phone.

Solar phone by Sharp, its a sports phone so it is waterproof (that doesn't mean I can swim with it, but i can sweat all over it), 3inch display, 5mpx camera, pedometer and calorie count, earthquake warning mail, tv tuner, plenty of games inside.
None of these features are inside my current phone.

Yeah... solar phone is the keyword. I can save up on electric bill.
we'll see how... what is your opinion?

Brotherhood of War : A Korean movie .
It was recommended by a korean friend of mine early last year ... and I only watched it yesterday.

Title says it all; brotherhood. Which means there are 2 main actors. Of course, no show will be complete without a main actress too.

And war ... Korean War.
