Brotherhood of War : A Korean movie .
It was recommended by a korean friend of mine early last year ... and I only watched it yesterday.
Title says it all; brotherhood. Which means there are 2 main actors. Of course, no show will be complete without a main actress too.
And war ... Korean War.
My Korean friend recommended this movie because last year, she enthusiastically explained the Korean War, with drawings and full of emotions. Then I was interested to know more, so she asked me to watch the whole movie instead.
Simple summary, explained in a horrible way because I am a horrible story teller.
2 brothers ... Jin ...something and ...
We'll just call them Lee A and Lee B ... I'm so lazy to play the movie again just to find their names.
The Korean war broke out. One man of every family has to fight in it. But finding out that his younger brother was dragged away by armies, Lee A (elder brother) went to look for him.
And in the end, both of them went to war by force.
then...
*loads of fighting, blood and shooting ... and blood ...*
Lee A's fiancee was captured because she was framed, saying that she is a communist (aka supporter of north korea) . So in the end she died from execution. Sad eh ...
And because Lee B was caught while with his sister-in-law .. (something like that) , he was captured too.
*fighting and battle*
Lee A thought Lee B was dead and it made him furious and got angry with the South Koreans... so he joined the North korean army.
*blood spewing and fire*
But in the end, Lee A found Lee B, almost killed him because Lee B was black as soot, couldn't recognize him. But Lee B struggled to tell his stories about how Lee A will see him go to college, make shoes... sell noodles...
Lee A died .... and Lee B heroically ran through all the bombing and flaring scenes, survived.
What a miracle...

My opinion : It is a good show. Of course, you cannot watch this show without knowing about the existence of Korean War and why it happened. Communism really screws things up. It was supposed to be an idea which stresses equality and fairness... but ... see what happens when someone is too crazy about the idea.
( communist supporters... don't shoot me )
Warning : I wouldn't recommend this show to people who are emotional, and can't stand the scenes of blood and exposed innards.
wow finally korean movie ha3..
just for ur information one of tvxq's member had played as an extra actor(one of the thousand soldiers) in this movie but no one couldnt recognize him although himself ha3..
ah... but in the movie, everybody was black in colour...lol
