Anwar on Asahi's headlines
Went to the library today. And this was the front cover of yesterday's Asahi Shinbun.

the main article of international news.
Translated as : Malaysia's general election; Opposition party on the rise.
The ruling party was defeated. bla bla bla....
this is just the beginning... then in Page 5....

It takes up half a page. Finally, another handful of Japanese people knows what Malaysia is.
(For a split second when I saw the article, I thought Malaysia is colonized by Japan, and I'm reading this in Msia)
This article is a few times bigger than the article regarding American Presidential Election just below.
Then there's one part, the article as big as my palm... Anwar's biodata. In his biodata, they only mention the reason of his imprisonment as; "Misuse of power" ....
lol... i wonder what kinda power...
-------------------------------
Please...!! things are so expensive in Malaysia now!! ... how can a bowl of porridge cost rm5?!!
I was at Cold Storage the other day and the prices of vegetables there are almost the same as in Japan !!
Convert or not, it is still clear that the price of daily goods are not reasonable as to how much a local earns on average !!
spend unnecessarily some more la... stupid angkasawan... see what happened to the prices?? ... can't subsidise anymore... I can't even drink my teh tarik made in space.
in fact, whoever came up with this angkasawan idea should just die instead.
another thing... I was just away for just half a year. And look at the condition of KL Rapid's buses... they're oh-my-angkasawan dirty... Literally EVERY (yes, i noted EVERY bus) ... Every bus has stained aircond holes... stained and all turned black. The tv in the bus is practically useless and broadcasting one pointless cartoon over and over instead of giving information about the bus network or anything a passenger needs to know. Worse still, some drivers actually scolded people.
But I can't complain much... its only rm 1 ~ 2 for the whole day.
please... someone save the country...

Someone taught me how to get free groceries!

lol.. surprise indeed. well the buses here are much better and the drivers are so polite and say thank you. so nice. lol. and they have buses that "kneel down" for wheelchairs, baby strollers and of course special seats that can be folded up. mayb there are some new rapid kl buses like that. lol. there are so much to be done in msia.. it's hard when the people's mindset is still '3rd world'.
same here. i've actually seen the bus driver sweep and mop the bus after they finish a route.
prices are on the rise everywhere... i think most of it is due to the rising price of fuel. money spent on fuel for the angkasawan thing could help subsidise fuel prices. rocket fuel for malaysian cars!
the angkasawan project = malaysian pride. twin tower no longer the highest. desperate for international attention. yeah. that's probably it.
