stupidity at its best (updated)

57 - 50 = 3

i wouldn't call it carelessness...

continue reading to find out why...

Statistics Paper 2 (there were 3)

by thinking it was 47, one mistake made the rest wrong as well...
and i have to re-take the subject the following year. What a waste of time, and energy ... everything!

After all the attention I tried to paid in class while most of the others were sleeping, or some even cheated in exams, writing all 2 reports and submitting them on time, attending all classes without fail, asking my bro to bring my Add Maths reference books to Jpn....

this is what i end up with...

See Mich, I told you its no good being too lucky. Once you fall, you'll get it 'kau kau'
Co-incidentally I just told Kevin this yesterday;

" But I don't wanna major in Erosion Ctrl in Year 3... I don't wanna risk people's lives with my mistake"

I went to my sensei after I saw the results online. The discussion ended up as a big laughter.

Me : *sigh* ... I guess I can do nothing but laugh...
Sensei : yeah... I was laughing as i went through your paper...

Lessons learnt :

1. Don't just look at the last digit.
2. No matter how simple the calculation is, just use the calculator !!!

Sigh...

* Just pray that the scholarship won't reject me just because I failed this subject. Same goes to tuition fee waiver. If not, 'saiaku!!' ... bad luck to the max.

on the other hand... I will be away over the weekend on an all-expenses-paid-foreign-students-trip to Saga, Nagasaki and Kumamoto. Sponsored by the univ. How kind and touching... lol

Aiyo, you poor thing. Yah, next time use your calculator.. even if it is 1+1 hehe...

I had something like this before (not maths paper) but chemistry/biochem where all the questions to that section were all linked. I got the main bits wrong thus 'theoretically' everything following that question should be wrong (the ripple effect) but in NZ they are quite nice about it. They will give you half or a quarter of the allocated mark cos your workings are still correct even though the first part was wrong.

Anyway, it's ok.. just make sure next time that you take your time and don't rush. If you have time at the end, check big sections like this (the ones that could make/break you).

heh, good thing no need to pay, my papers cost RM1000 for a resit =S

anyways, u got a free trip, failed but still got a free trip. maybe you should fail more? hahaha

looks like a stats paper. but how can something like that be funny?!

anyway, in adelaide uni, if u make a mistake like that, the markers will take it into account and mark the other parts correct if you used the correct method/concept. but thats probably because of the marking scheme... marks are given for showing the correct steps... your paper just want answers...

yeah.. thats the problem with japanese exams... the last answer is the one that matters...
