vibrating bottom
yeah.. so i was sitting down on my chair having my lunch when my bum suddenly shook...
I knew it was an earthquake and nothing wrong with my butt so i turned on the tv and grabbed my camera.
This crazy fella did not even seek for shelter...
Irony?... co-incidence? ... I just rode the earthquake simulator yesterday...

Shindo (Japanese scale) was only 2. Richter Scale was 4.0.
Yeah, its no big deal.... but my point is to share something that i read in the uni bookstore that day. I did not buy the book, so i saved another few hundred yen by reading it there...ngah ngah ngah....
One thing to note for those who don't know.
There are 2 scales. Shindo (Japanese Scale) and Shingen Magnitude aka Richter Scale.
Shindo is measured all over Japan. There are stations everywhere. They categorize quakes from 1 to 7 like in the picture above. So in other words, it is referring to the level of shaking in one specific area whereas Richter Scale refers to the seismic activity at the origin of the quake.
Since Japan has earthquakes everyday, a Japanese scale would come in handy for the fact that it is more specific. The magnitude may be 6.0 but shindo could be 1. The magnitude could be 4.3 but the shindo could be 4. It all depends on where you stand,... and for my case... sit.
So in conclusion, both my bottom and the bottom of the sea vibrated this afternoon.
