Dramatic Lecture

| | Comments (3)

For the second semester, there is one subject by the name of "Agriculture Prospect"

Every session, there is a different lecturer, speaking about different topics...

For today, it was about 'preserving freshness and quality of foodstuff' ... very dramatic and comical...

I've translated them into English language (the dots represent different scene, the quotes aren't continuous) :

" ... ehtylene will fly around and about shuuuu shuuuuu *points around*.... calcium will go GaAAAA!!  *hands out*... and just revolve around like on a highway like zoooooo zooooooooo *waves fingers*.... the skin will feel hunya hunya,... then the information sent out will appear pon pon pon pon ... chemicals will go ' eeekk!! oh nooo!! wooooooaaaaaaa~~ what in the world?! *acting out the scene of a dying person*.... then finally gone ...."

*points at the line graph with the stick* ... " and then you see the concentration;tara tara tara tara, riiiiiising..."

By the way... I always thought that this was rubbish....

you know, the green strip of plastic slipped in between the sushi <-- in case you can't tell from my drawing

It has a purpose for preserving foodstuff.

Its called Baran. Not only it serves the purpose of seperating the sushi and make the bento look nice, it is coated with a certain chemical which prevents the flavour and smell of the sushi from seeping into the next sushi... This piece of green plastic also prevents the growth of bacteria.

Here's a better picture I took weeks ago...
